The Commmity Redevelopment Agency of the City of Santa Arm. is proposing an amendment to the Redevelopment Plan o£. the City o£ Santa Aha Redevelopment Project. Attached hereto is a copy o£ the Notice o£ Public Hearing on the Amendment to the Redevelopment Plan and a copy o£ a map showing the boundaries o£ the Project Area, i~;luding the area to be added by the Amendment to the Redevelopment Plan. Your Agency levies taxes upon property in the area to be .made a part o£ the Project Area by the Amendment to the Redevelopment Plan, and thus ~uld be a!fected by a division o£ tax revenues pursuant to Section 33670 o£ the · Cali£ornia Health and Salety Code, which becomes applicable under the proposed . ~endment to the Redevelopment Plan. I£ the proposed a~end~ent to the Redevelopment Plml is adopted, property taxes resulting £rom increases in valuation above the assessed value as sho~n on the last equalized assessment roll prior to the ei£ective date o£ the ordinance adopting the Amendment to the Redevelopment Plan, could be allecated to the Redevelopment Agency £or redevelotnent purposes, rather than being paid into the treasury o£ your taxing Agency. Tax increments /~rem property in the existing Project Area ~/fich are presently allocated to the Radevelopment Agency under Section $3670 ~ould not be a££ected by the Amendment to the Redevelol~nent Plan.
