<br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of
<br />
<br />Councilman Heinly, seconded by Jerome and ~carried, the following Resolution
<br />
<br />"Resolution No. 56-329 accepting Grant Deed"
<br />
<br />from William Richard and Marion F. Oxford, for an easement for street purposes for
<br />
<br />the widening of Delhi Road, without cash consideration, was considered and passed
<br />
<br />by the following vote:

<br />from Department of Veterans Affairs of the State of California, for an easement for
<br />
<br />street purposes for the widening of Delhi Road, without cash consideration, was con-

<br />sidered and passed by the following vote:

<br />On motion of Councilm~u Heinly, seconded by Jerome and carried, the Resolution from
<br />
<br />the Board of Supervisors, dated November 29, 1956, declaring the result of the
<br />
<br />canvass of election returns of the Special Municipal Election held November 6,
<br />
<br />on Santa Ama Library Bonds, was received and filed.
<br />
<br />The Council having ,m,nimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of
<br />
<br />Councilman Heinly, seconded by Jerome and carried, the following Resolution
<br />
<br />"Resolution No. 56-331 of the City Council of the City of Santa Ana,
<br />California, declaring the result of the canvass of election returns
<br />of the Special M~nicipal Election held November 6, 1956"
<br />
<br />on the Santa Ana Library Bonds, was considered and passed by the following vote:
<br />

<br />Ccmm~mication was read from Messrs. Fred E. Smith and Dan A. Jacobsen, offering to
<br />
<br />sell to the City property located at the southwest corner of Third and Ross Streets
<br />
<br />for the sum of $14,000.00, for the purpose of a parking lot, and on motion of
<br />
<br />man Heinly, seconded by Markel and carried, the communication was received, filed
<br />
<br />and referred to the Manager. The Manager reported that the property has no
<br />
<br />potential use as a parking lot as it does not provide sufficient space, or is it
<br />
<br />close enough for day-time parkin~ or employee parking. It was moved by Counci]msu
<br />
<br />Heiuly, seconded by Markel and carried, that the oral report be accepted, the offer
<br />
<br />rejected and a letter directed to the owners advising that the City is not
<br />
<br />in purchasing the property.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Heinly and carried, the communication
<br />
<br />from the Boundary Commission was received and filed, reference the proposed annex-
<br />
<br />ation of territory to the City of Garden Grove, Annexation No. 12.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Markel and carried, the communication
<br />
<br />from the Board of Supervisors advising of the cancellation of weed assessment in
<br />
<br />the amount of $12.00, on property described as ~Lot 17, Tract No. 2089, AP 91-512-06,
<br />,Virgil De Croix, was received and filed.

<br />
