HRS/plc <br />July 2, 1975 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 75-85 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING <br />THE CHIEF OF POLICE TO RECEIVE PRO- <br />POSALS AND TO HIRE A CONSULTANT AS <br />A TECHNICAL ADVISOR TO THE FEDERALLY <br />FUNDED ORANGE COUNTY CONSOLIDATED <br />RECORDS SYSTEM <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana has undertaken a <br />certain project designated as tke Orange County Consoli- <br />dated Records System, that is funded in part from funds <br />made available through the Omnibus Crime Control and <br />Safe Streets Act 1968, PL 90-355, as amended, PL 91-644, <br />and administered by the California Council on Criminal <br />Justice (hereinafter referred to as CCCJ);, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana has been delegated <br />the federal grant funds to coordinate and sponsor a <br />regional law enforcement storage and retrieval project <br />called the Orange County Consolidated Records System;and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Chief of Police of Santa Ana as Pro- <br />ject Director of the Orange County Consolidated Records <br />System, and the advisory committee to the Orange County <br />Consolidated Records System, which is comprised of rep- <br />resentatives from all participating law enforcement <br />user agencies in Orange County, desires to solicite pro- <br />posals from technical advisors and to select one as a <br />consultant to assist in the design, development and <br />implementation of a consolidated, automated document <br />storage and retrieval system for all participating <br />municipal law enforcement agencies in Orange County;and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Santa Ana City Council pursuant and in <br />compliance with Resolution 74-54 dated the 15th day of <br />April, 1974, authorized the Chief of Police to enter into <br />and execute all documents pertinent to the Orange County <br />Consolidated Records System. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Chief of <br />Police, as Project Director of the Orange County Con- <br />solidated Records System, is authorized to solicite <br />R.F.P.'s (request for proposals) and select a qualified <br />consultant to act as an independent technical advisor <br />to the Consolidated Records System, and is further <br />authorized to execute on its behalf a contract for such <br />services including any extentions or amendments thereof. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a total of $4,050 has <br />been allotted for the professional services from a con- <br />sultant and will provide such services as required and so <br />determined by the Project Director such as to evaluate <br />quarterly progress reports of the project and to further <br />develop a police record system operational performance <br />requirements and design specifications in accordance <br />with the information needs and capabilities of the vari- <br />ous user agencies in Orange County; <br /> <br /> <br />
