Taylor <br /> <br />Each member of the City Council having received copies of the l~inutes <br />of January 21, 1957, reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and <br />approved on motion of Couno~lm~n Heinly, seconded by Jerome and carried. <br /> <br />Presentation of <br />award to David <br />G. Salcido <br /> <br />Hearing <br />"Goetz King <br />Street Annex" <br />Ordinance <br /> <br />The Mayor presented a merit certificate and a cash award to David G. Salcido, 1B1B <br />Eastwood Avenue, who was the outstanding driver of the month in the Santa Aha Safe <br />Driving Campaign. <br /> <br />This being the date set for hearing pretests on annexation to the City of certain <br />,mtnhabited territory designated "Goetz King Street Annex", and there being no <br />protests, on motion of COll~C~lm~n ~ark~l, seCOnd by Neinly and carried, the fol- <br /> <br />lowing Ord~ n-~ce entitled: <br /> <br />Hearing <br />"First and T~stin <br />SW Aunex" <br /> <br />"Ordinance declaring the ~nnexation of that certain territory <br />designated 'Goetz King Street ~mnex'" <br /> <br />was introduced, considered and placed~ on file for second reading. <br /> <br />This being the date set for hearing protests on annexation to the City of certain <br /> <br />uninhabited territory designated "First and Tustin SW Annex", the Clerk read pro- <br /> <br />tests from L.A.Eavens, Geo. A. Gullck, H. G. Wilson, J. W. Broomell, Walter H. <br /> <br />Leimert Company, Leroy G. and Eazel E. Connelly, Jane S. Lash and Mildred P.Browni: <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Jerc~ae and carried, the protests were <br /> <br />received and filed. It was moved by Counctlm~ Neinly, seconded by Je~me and <br /> <br />carried, that it is determined tbet more than 51~ of the ownership of the territo~ <br /> <br />has protested and no further proceedings sba~l be taken. <br /> <br /> <br />
