205 <br /> <br />CounCil Chamber <br />Santa Aha City Hall <br />March 25, 1957. 5:00 P.M. <br /> <br />City Council met in adjourned regular session. <br />Meeting called to order by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Pre sent: Councilmen <br /> <br />Absent: Councilmen <br /> <br />Certification <br />'~North of Smeltzer <br />~nnexation" <br /> <br />Dale E. Heinly, J. Ogden Markel, <br />William Jerome, Milford W. Dahl <br />None <br /> <br /> The Clerk read her certification stating an examination had been made of the <br /> <br />for annexation of territory designated "North of Smettzer Annexation" to determine <br /> <br />the number of voters residing within the area described in said petition who have <br /> <br />signed the same; that said examination was made, and from the records of <br /> <br />maintained by the County Clerk of Orange County, has determined that 752 voters who <br /> <br />reside in said territory have signed the petition; that there are 2~7~ registered <br /> <br />voters residing in said territory; and the number of vo~ers who signed said petition <br />is 31.6% of all the voters residing in said territory. On motion of Councilman <br /> <br />Certification <br />"South of Smeltzer <br />Annexation" <br /> <br />Heinly, seconded by Markel and carried, the certification was received and filed. <br />The Clerk read her certification stating an examination had been made of the <br />for aunexation of territory designated "South of Smeltzer Annexation" to determine <br />the number of voters residing within the area described in said petition who have <br /> <br />signed the same; that said examination was made, and from the records of registratio <br /> <br />maintained by the County Clerk of Orange County, has determined that 91 voters who <br /> <br />reside in said territory have signed the petition; that there are 310 registered <br /> <br />voters residing in said territory; and the number of voters who signed said petition <br />is 29.3% of all the voters residing in said territory. On motion of Councilman <br /> <br />Reso. No. 57-~7 <br />Declaring intention to <br />call a Special Election <br />North of ameltzer <br />Annexation" <br /> <br />Markel, seconded by Jerome and carried, the certification was received and filed. <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br /> <br />Councilman Heinly, seconded by Jerome and carried, the following Resolution <br /> <br />"Resolution No. 57-67 declaring intention to call a Special <br />Election in territory designated 'North of Smeltzer Annexation' <br />and fixing date of hearing protests against said Election" <br /> <br />was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Aye s, Councilmen <br /> <br />Noe s, Councilmen <br />Absent, Councilmen <br /> <br />Dale H. Heinly, J. Ogden Markel, <br />William Jerame, Milford W. Dahl <br />None <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
