RESOLUTION NO. 75-145 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF T~IE CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING <br />SECTION 3 OF RESOLUTION NO. 58-281 AND ACCOUNT NO. 71-176 OF THE <br />1975-76 ANNUAL BUDGET TO ADD OR CHANGE CLASS TITLES AND REALLOCATE <br />CERTAIN BUDGET POSITIONS FOR THE ENHANCEMENT OF EQUAL OPPORTUNITY <br />EMPLOYMENT AND ADVANCEMENT WITH THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the overall objective of the City's Affirmative Action Program, <br />adopted by the City Council on August 6, 1973, is to achieve, within a reasonable <br />period of time, an equitable employee profile in each occupational category which <br />is an approximate reflection of minorities and women available in the City of <br />Santa Ana's labor market area; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, because the City's position classification plan, Resolution No. 58-281, <br />provides the all-important foundation upon which all other personnel processes <br />are based, the various occupational sub-systems within the City service are being <br />re-evaluated, on an organizational basis, to insure that the classification structure <br />is truly reflective of existing job systems and free of any and all extraneous factors <br />which serve as artificial barriers to equal opportunity employment and/or advancement; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, as a result of Affirmative Action Job Restructuring studies conducted <br />in the Reprographic Services Section of the Finance Department, several changes are <br />required in the City's Classification and Compensation Plan as well as the position <br />allocation lis ting for Account No. 71-176 of the 1975-76 Annual Budget for the City <br />of Santa Ana in order to meet the above-mentioned affirmative action objectives. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Section 3 of Resolution No. 58-281, as <br />amended, is hereby further amended by: <br /> <br />1. Adding, in proper alphabetical sequence, the following class titles <br /> at the salary range numbers next thereto set out: <br /> <br />CLASS TITLE <br /> <br />SALARY RANGE NUMBER <br /> <br />Messenger <br />Reprographic Equipment Operator II <br /> <br />204 <br />258 <br /> <br />2. Changing the following class titles as next herein set out: <br /> <br />FROM T__O <br /> <br />Messenger Clerk <br />Reprographic Services <br /> Leadman <br /> <br />Reprographic Equipment Operator I <br />Reprographic Services Supervisor <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the following position reallocations be made <br />by amending the position allocation listing authorized in the below-indicated budget <br />account of the 1975-76 Annual Budget for the City of Santa Ana: <br /> <br />Account 71-176, Finance Department-Central Services (Reprographics). <br /> <br />Delete: 1 Messenger Clerk <br /> <br />Add: <br /> <br />1 Reprographics Equipment Operator II <br /> <br />So That: the total number of positions in Account 71-176 remains unchanged <br /> at four (4). <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That this amendment shall take effect on <br />November 1, 1975. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha at its regulsr <br /> <br />meeting held on the 6th .day of 0ct. ober , 1975. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />FLOIC':NCI~ I.
