CJL:ag <br />1/14/76 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 76-10 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA APPROVING THE SALE OF THE SANTA <br />ANA TOWERS SITE BY THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT <br />AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA TO NATIONAL <br />HOUSING CONSULTANTS INC., FINDING THAT THE <br />$160,000 SALES PRICE OF SAID SITE IS NOT LESS <br />THAN ITS FAIR VALUE, DECLARING THOSE PARCELS <br />COMPRISING THE SITE PREVIOUSLY CONVEYED BY <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA TO THE COMMUNITY RE- <br />DEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />TO BE SURPLUS PROPERTY AND RATIFYING <br />THE CONVEYANCE OF TITLE OF SAID PREVIOUSLY <br />CONVEYED PARCELS FOR AN AMOUNT TO BE DETERMINED <br />BY THE CITY AND THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT <br />AGENCY REPAYABLE BY THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT <br />AGENCY PURSUANT TO ITS MARCH 12, 1973 AGREEMENT <br />WITH THE CITY. <br /> <br /> BE tT RESOLVED, that, pursuant to Section 33434 of Health <br />and Safety Code of the State of California, the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Ana hereby approves the sale to National Housing <br />Consultants, Inc. by the Community Redevelopment Agency of the <br />City of Santa Ana of the Santa Ana Towers Site, also known as <br />the Senior Citizens Housing Site, which site is shown on the <br />property map attached hereto as "Attachment No. 1" bounded on the <br />north by the former north line of Second Street, on the west by <br />Ross Street, on the south by First Street on the east by Birch <br />Street, which site was in part acquired from City Council - <br />Redevelopment Agency Revolving Fund. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that City Council hereby receives <br />and files the report of the Executive Director of the Community <br />Redevelopment Agency attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and hereby <br />finds that the site sales price of $160,000 is not less than the <br />fair value of said site for the purpose of constructing 200 resi- <br />dential units for senior citizens in accordance with the Re- <br />development plan for the City of Santa Ana Redevelopment project <br />area. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, pursuant to ~33396 of the <br />Health and Safety Code of the State of California, that portion <br />of the aforedescribed site described in the Corporation Grant <br />Deed attached hereto as Exhibit "B, conveyed to the Community <br />Redevelopment Agency of the City of Santa Ana by the City of <br />Santa Ana and accepted by the Community Redevelopment Agency of <br />the City of Santa Ana at the request of the Santa Ana City Council <br />is hereby declared to be surplus property of the City of Santa <br />Ana as of the date of aforedescribed Deed and the City Council <br />hereby ratifies the conveyance of title of said parcels to the <br />Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Santa Ana for <br />an amount to be determined by the Community Redevelopment Agency <br />and the City, repayable by the Redevelopment Agency to the City <br />pursuant to the provision of Clause 6 of that certain March 12, 1973 <br />Agreement between the City and Redevelopment Agency. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of <br />Santa Ana at its re§ular meeting held on the 19th <br />day of 3anuary , 1976. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />
