KLG:nr <br />Grant Award & Application 9-1-76 <br />Filed in CA 112.6b 1976 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 76- 110 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR <br />GRANT FOR ORANGE COUNTY NARCOTICS INDEX, <br />CALIFORNIA COUNCIL ON CRIMINAL JUSTICE AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF POLICE OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS ~ER- <br />TINENT THERETO <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Aha desires to undertake a <br />certain project designated Orange County Narcotic Index to be <br />funded in part from funds made available pursuant to the Crime <br />Control Act of 1973, PL 93-83, administered by the Office of <br />Criminal Justice Planning (hereafter referred to as OCJP) for <br />the California Council on Criminal Justice. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Ana: that the Chief of Police of the City of <br />Santa Ana is authorized to submit the attached Application for <br />Grant for Law Enforcement Purposes to OCJP and is authorized to <br />execute on behalf of the City of Santa Ana the attached Grant <br />Award for law enforcement purposes. <br /> <br /> The City of Santa Ana agrees to provide all matching <br />funds required for said project (including any extension or amend- <br />ment thereof) under the Crime Control Act and the rules and regu- <br />lations of OCJP and the Law Enforcement Assistance Administration <br />(LEAA) and that cash will be appropriated as required thereby. <br /> <br /> Grant funds received hereunder shall not be used to <br />supplant on-going law enforcement expenditures. <br /> <br /> ADOPTED, this 7th <br />by the following vote: <br /> <br />day of September <br /> <br />, 1976, <br /> <br />AYES: COUNCILMEN: Evans, Brandt, 0rtiz, <br /> Garthe, Ward <br />NOES: COUNCILMEN: <br /> None <br /> <br />ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Bricken <br /> <br />Yamamoto, <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />KEITH L.
