Ashby to permit construction of a two-bedroom <br />house (925 square feet) on rear part of lot located at 211 East 20th Street, decreas. <br />ing the rear-yard requirements to 3 feet, in an R-3 District. Communication was <br />read from Mrs. Clay Ashby outlining the facts in regard to the property and the <br />reasons for the variance application, and on motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by <br />Hall and carried, the c~,,mmication was received and filed. On motion of Coancilm-r <br />Hall, seconded by Markel and carried, the recommendation of the Planning Commission <br />was approved and the variance denied, without prejudice. <br /> <br />Communication was read from the Plauning Commission recc~mending denial of variance <br />application of Ellsworth A. Swanson and James E. Carlson for permission to delete the <br />north side-yard requirements on property at 2121 North Broadway (P District)~ in <br />order to construct the proposed medical building on the property line.
