Heinly <br />None <br /> <br /> The Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />~ Invocation was given by Reverend Gerald S. <br /> Christian Church. <br /> <br />Bash of the First <br /> <br />Each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of <br />October 21, 1957, reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and app~roved <br />on motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried. <br />'Mayor Heinly presented a merit certificate and cash award to Dolores Genevieve Berg, <br /> the outstanding driver of the mont~ in the Safe Driving Campaign. <br /> A tabulation of bids was presented by the Manager for the construction of pavement, <br /> <br />Bid acceptance <br />Construction pavement, <br />etc. on Wilshire from <br />Bristol to Olive Sts. <br /> <br />curb and gutter, on uncompleted portions of Wilshire Avenue from Bristol Street to <br /> <br />Olive Street and Russell Avenue from Rosewood Avenue to Lowell Street, Project C-22~ <br /> <br />proposals having been submitted by the following contractors: R. J. Noble, Griffithll <br />Compan~ a~ Sully-Miller Contracting Company. The Manager reported that money had <br />been deposited with the City by all but two property owners on the Wilshire Avenue <br /> <br />frontage but the property owners on Russell Avenue were not interested in having the <br /> <br />work done and recomended the award be made to Sully-Miller Contracting Ccmpan~ at <br /> <br />the unit prices submitted in their bid for Wilshire Avenue only. On motion of Coun- <br /> <br /> Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried, the bid of Sully-Miller Contracting <br />Cometary on unit prices f= Wilshire Avenue only, was accepted and all other bids~ <br /> <br />Bid acceptance <br />Construction pavement, <br />etc. on Walnut St. from <br />Pacific to Daisy St. <br /> <br />rejected. <br /> <br />A tabulation of bids was presented by the Manager for the construction of pavement, <br />sidewalks, cross gutters and conbinatiun curb and gutter on Walnut Street from <br />Pacific Avenue toDaisy Street, Project No. 107, as follows: <br /> <br />Sully-Miller Contracti~ Company <br />Cox Broso Construction Ccmpar~ <br />R.J. On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Hall and carried, the <br />bid of Wager & Walker was accepted. <br /> <br />The Manager presented a tabulation of bids for the furnishing of one truck cab and <br /> <br />chassis, per specification No. 623-9, as follows: Net Cost <br /> Eltiste Co. $3,766.11 <br /> W. W. Woods 3,317.71 <br /> George Dunt on 3,835.61 <br /> ~uaranty Chevrolet 3,340.45 <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Hall and carried, the bid of W. W.
