RCS:ar <br />4/25/77 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-54 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA AMENDING THE LAND USE ELEMENT <br />OF THE GENERAL PLAN BY REDESIGNATING 167 <br />ACRES LOCATED GENERALLY WITHIN THE AREA EN- <br />COMPASSED BY FAIRVIEW STREET, ALTON AVENUE, <br />BRISTOL STREET, AND SUNFLOWER AVENUE TO <br />OTHER USES. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its regular <br />meeting held on March 14, 1977, following public hearing <br />noticed and held in the manner prescribed in S27-16 of the <br />Santa Ana Municipal Co.de, has approved and recommended to <br />the City Council the amendments to the General Plan of the <br />City of Santa Aha as hereinafter set forth; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council has held a public hearing, <br />duly noticed in accordance with S27-17 of the Santa Ana Municipal <br />Code, and based upon such hearing and the evidence therein <br />presented, does now find the said amendment, as recommended <br />by the Planning Commission, to be in the public interest; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council, prior to taking this action, <br />has reviewed and considered the information contained in that <br />Environmental Impact Report designated as "Environmental <br />Impact Report 76-4", has approved said document as the final <br />environmental impact report for the General Plan amendment <br />hereby adopted, and finds that social and economic conditions <br />render infeasible the alternative of retaining the parcels <br />in their existing land use designations; <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council <br />of the City of Santa Ana as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. That the land use portion of the General Plan <br />of the City of Santa Ana is hereby amended by deleting the <br />sites aggregating approximately 167 acres located generally <br />in the area bounded by Fairview Street, Alton Avenue, Bristol <br />Street, and Sunflower Avenue from designations in said plan <br />and redesignating such said sites as set forth infra, in accor- <br />dance with that certain document entitled "General Plan Amend- <br />ment 1977 - 1" on file with the Clerk of the Council. Said <br />parcels shall be redesignated as follows: <br /> <br />PARCEL ACREAGE EXISTING GENERAL PLAN <br /> <br />DESIGNATION <br /> <br />NEW GENERAL PLAN <br /> <br />DESIGNATION <br /> <br />A 5.0 <br /> <br />Med. density residen- <br />tial <br /> <br />Community shopping <br />centers <br /> <br />B 9.6 <br /> <br />Med. density residen- <br />tial <br /> <br />Specific develop- <br />ment-residential <br /> <br />D 96.4 <br /> <br />Low density residen- <br />tial & parks, recre- <br />ation, open space <br /> <br />Specific develop- <br />ment-residential <br /> <br /> <br />
