JLC:ar <br />5/4/77 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-55 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANAAPPROVING A SCOPE CHANGE <br />FROM ACQUISITION OF EDNA PARK SITE #1 TO <br />ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY FOR THE EXPANSION <br />OF PRENTICE PARK ZOO AND REQUESTING THE <br />ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO <br />APPROVE A CHANGE IN APPROPRIATED MONIES <br />FROM THE ACQUISITION OF EDNA PARK TO THE <br />ACQUISITION OF PRENTICE PARK ZOO EXPANSION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 75-135, dated <br />January 28, 1975, the Orange County Board of Supervisors <br />authorized appropriation of One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dol- <br />lars ($150,000) of county revenue sharing funds for acquisi- <br />tion of Edna Park Site #1; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a private developer has filed a tract <br />map on the Edna Park Site 91 property, rendering said prop- <br />erty incapable of being developed as a park site; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the funds available for acquisition of <br />Edna Park Site 91 could now be used by the City of Santa <br />Ana for acquisition of 3.5 acres needed for Prentice Park <br />Zoo expansion, provided said Board of Supervisors authorizes <br />such use. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council <br />of the City of Santa Ana: <br /> <br /> 1. That the Orange County Board of Supervisors <br />are hereby requested to approve an amendment to Resolution <br />75-135 allocating county revenue sharing funds from acquisi- <br />tion of Edna Park Site ~1 to acquisition of 3.5 acres for <br />Prentice Park Zoo. <br /> <br /> 2.
