RESOLUTION NO. 77-87 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING SECTION 3 OF <br />RESOLUTION NO. 58-281 TO CHANGE TWO CLASS <br />TITLES AND PROVIDE CERTAIN COMPENSATION <br />ADJUSTMENTS FOR UNREPRESENTED MANAGEMENT <br />CLASSES <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on June 30, 1977, the City Manager delivered to this Council a <br />report and recon~mendation concerning proposed salary adjustments for the classes <br />of employment hereinbelow specified; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council has intended, and now intends, that said adjustments <br />be effective from and after July 1, 1977, on which date salary rates for said classes <br />were indefinite and subject to future determination, but has been unable to determine <br />said salary adjustments until this date by reason of the fact that insufficient time <br />has been available until the present date in which to consider the matters fully and <br />make the determinations hereinbelow set forth. For said reason, this Council finds <br />and determines that said salary adjustments, hereinbelow specified, shall be retro- <br />active to July 1, 1977; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is now desired to change the titles of two of the classes speci- <br />fied below, to adjust the salary range allocations for all executive management <br />classes, and to add an employee benefit previously granted to subordinate level <br />unrepresented middle management personnel; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, <br />as follows: <br /> <br />1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 58-281, as amended, is hereby further <br /> amended by: <br /> <br />Changing the class titles of Executive Director of Administrative <br />Services and Executive Director of Cormmunity Services to Deputy <br />City Manager; and <br /> <br />b. Assigning to the following class titles the new salary range <br /> numbers, from and after the operative date of this resolution: <br /> <br />CLASS TITLE <br /> <br />SALARY RANGE NUMBER <br /> <br />Assistant City Manager (EM) <br />Community Development Coordinator (EM) <br />Deputy City Manager (EM) <br />Director of Building, Safety, & Housing (EM) <br />Director of Cormmunity Relations (EM) <br />Director of Finance (EM) <br />Director of Recreation and Parks (EM) <br />Director of Personnel (EM) <br />Director of Planning (EM) <br />Director of Public Works (EM) <br />Equipment Maintenance Superintendent (EM) <br />Executive Director-Redevelopment Agency (EM) <br />Fire Chief (EM) <br />Library Director (EM) <br />Museum Director (EM) <br />Police Chief (EM) <br /> <br />550 <br />401 <br />502 <br />494 <br />409 <br />510 <br />501 <br />499 <br />508 <br />537 <br />439 <br />516 <br />533 <br />489 <br />444 <br />547 <br /> <br /> 2. That Section 3.2, added to Resolution No. 58-281 by Resolution No. 76-83, <br />is hereby renumbered to Section 3.1.1, and that the following subsection is hereby <br />added to said Section 3.1.1, as follows: <br /> <br /> j. Disability Insurance. Effective January 1, 1978, the City shall pay <br />the full premium for a long-term disability insurance plan for all employees designated <br />as unrepresented Executive Management (EM). <br /> <br /> <br />
