RESOLUTION NO. 77-94 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 58-281 CORRECTING <br />THE COMPENSATION SCHEDULE FOR THE CLASS OF ASSISTANT <br />CITY ENGINEER <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on November 3, 1958, the City Council passed and adopted <br />Resolution No. 58-281, revising and re-establishing the Basic Compensation Plan <br />for all officers and employees of the City of Santa Ana; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa <br />Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classifi- <br />cation and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and the approval <br />of the City Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has from time to time amended said Resolution; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on December 28, 1976 the City Council approved Resolution No. <br />76-154 designating the Assistant City Engineer as middle management and providing <br />compensation adjustments for the class; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a mathematical error was made in setting forth future salary <br />range adjustments for the class of Assistant City Engineer in accordance with the <br />two-year compensation plan previously adopted by the City Council for middle <br />management classification; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is now desired to correct the error and adjust the remaining <br />portion of the two-year compensation plan to reflect the salary ranges that had <br />originally been intended to be associated with the class. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Section 3 of Resolution No. 58-281, <br />as amended, is further amended by revising the salary range numbers and effective <br />dates for the class of Assistant City Engineer as next herein set out: <br /> <br />Salary Range Number: <br /> <br />EFFECTIVE DATES <br />1-1-77 1-1-78 4-1-78 <br /> 473 480 489 <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That this amendment shall take effect on <br />September 1, 1977. <br /> <br />ADOPTED, THIS 15th day of Au§ust , 1977, by the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: COUNCILMEN: <br />NOES: COUNCILMEN: <br />ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: <br /> <br />Ward, Yamamoto, Ortiz, Evans <br />None // , ,/~ <br />Brickeny~rthe, <br /> <br /> MAYOR <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> I~I.O~NCE I. /,~,,ON~ <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />CI~TY ATTORNEY <br /> <br /> <br />
