Douglas Welch submitted an smende~ <br />plot plan which involved a smaller buildings, reducing the square footage, and on <br />motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Markel and carried, the plan, as amended, <br />was received and filed. On motion of Counc~lm~n Gould, seconded by Markel and <br />carried, the variance application was approved, according to the amended plot plan, <br />and subject to the condition that additional car pad be completed, with the two- <br />single-car detached garages. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by M~rkel and carried, the recommendation <br />of the Planning Commission was approved and the variance of Church of Christ of <br />Santa Ana granted to permit the construction of a church auditorium and bible schoo <br />classrooms, with parking facilities, in accordance with plot plan, on property <br />situated on the west side of King Street between Judith Lane and Eleventh Street, <br />if extended west, in an R-1 District, subject to conditions. <br /> <br />Communication was read fram the Planning Commission recommending approval of <br />variance application of Harold and David Wener to permit the construction of a 21- <br />unit motel with 21 parkiag stalls, %rith single-story units across the rear part of <br />the lot, and two-story un_its along the east side of the property, with parking spac, <br />along the west side of the property; also 31 parking stalls for the proposed six <br />stores at ll20 West 17th Street, in C-1-PK and R-1 Districts, in accordance width <br />revised plan "C". Charles B. ~nispel, 1115 W. 16th Street and Eric I. Jorgensen, <br />lll9 W. 16~h Street, protested the construction of the motel, in an R-1 District. <br />Attorney Milford Dahl spoke on behalf of the applicants. Gould, Jr., <br />None <br /> <br />seconded by Gould and carried, the recommendation <br /> <br />of the Planning Commission was approved and the variance of Lenney Homes, Inc., <br />granted to erect a temporary directional sign (8' x 10') on the northeast corner <br />of property situated at 1502 East 17th Street, in an R-1 District, to direct traffi <br />south on Linwood Avenue to Unit No. 20, Cameo Park Estates, a tract of 48 houses, <br />located one block south of 17th Street, east of Linwood Avenue, subject to a con- <br />dition. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hall, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the recommendation <br />of the Planning Commission was approved and the variance of Olson Realty Company <br />granted to permit the blacktopping of the area west of existing dwellings on <br />property situated at 902 South Shelton Street, in an R-1 District, and to use it as <br />a parking area for the wholesale egg distributing business of Olson Bros., Inc., <br />whose premises abut the north side of the property; subject property to be adequate <br />enclosed by fence or brick wall, with access to the parking area from Shelton Stree <br />and from the Olson Bros,! premises, subject to conditi~s.set forth by the Planning <br />Commission. <br /> <br />Ly <br /> <br /> <br />
