RCS:ar 3/14/78 RESOLUTION NO. 78-36 GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT 1978-1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING THE LAND USE PORTION OF THE LAND USE AND ARTERIAL STREETS SECTION OF THE GENERAL PLAN BY ADDING A NEW DESIGNATION THERETO TO BE KNOWN AS LOW-MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL AND BY REDESIG- NATING PROPERTY BOUNDED BY HAZARD, ROSITA, FIFTH AND EUCLID STREETS FROM LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO LOW-MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its regular meeting held February 27, 1978, following public hearing noticedand held in the manner prescribed in Section 27-16 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code, has approved and recommended to this Council an amendment to the General Plan of the City of Santa Ana as hereinafter set forth; and WHEREAS, this Council has held a public hearing duly noticed in accordance with Section 27-17 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code, and based upon such hearing and the evidence therein presented, does now find said amendment, as recommended by the Planning Commission, to be in the public interest; and WHEREAS, this Council, prior to taking this action, has reviewed and considered the information contained in Negative Declaration No. 77-186 for the subject project and, on the basis thereof, finds that the project will not have a significant effect upon the environment, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the Land Use Portion of the Land Use and Arterial Streets Section of the General Plan is hereby amended as follows: To add thereto a new designation to be known as "Low-Medium Density Residential," allowing between 8 and 11.5 housing units per acre. be To redesignate all that property bounded by Hazard Avenue to the north, Rosita Street to the east, Fifth Street to the south, and Euclid Street to the west from low density Residential to Low-Medium Density Residential, in accordance with
