RCS:ar <br />3/14/78 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 78-36 <br /> <br />GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT 1978-1 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING THE LAND USE <br />PORTION OF THE LAND USE AND ARTERIAL STREETS <br />SECTION OF THE GENERAL PLAN BY ADDING A <br />NEW DESIGNATION THERETO TO BE KNOWN AS <br />LOW-MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL AND BY REDESIG- <br />NATING PROPERTY BOUNDED BY HAZARD, ROSITA, <br />FIFTH AND EUCLID STREETS FROM LOW DENSITY <br />RESIDENTIAL TO LOW-MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its regular <br />meeting held February 27, 1978, following public hearing <br />noticedand held in the manner prescribed in Section 27-16 <br />of the Santa Ana Municipal Code, has approved and recommended <br />to this Council an amendment to the General Plan of the <br />City of Santa Ana as hereinafter set forth; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council has held a public hearing <br />duly noticed in accordance with Section 27-17 of the Santa <br />Ana Municipal Code, and based upon such hearing and the <br />evidence therein presented, does now find said amendment, <br />as recommended by the Planning Commission, to be in the <br />public interest; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council, prior to taking this action, <br />has reviewed and considered the information contained in <br />Negative Declaration No. 77-186 for the subject project and, <br />on the basis thereof, finds that the project will not have <br />a significant effect upon the environment, <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SANTA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. That the Land Use Portion of the Land Use and <br />Arterial Streets Section of the General Plan is hereby amended <br />as follows: <br /> <br />To add thereto a new designation to be <br />known as "Low-Medium Density Residential," <br />allowing between 8 and 11.5 housing units <br />per acre. <br /> <br />be <br /> <br />To redesignate all that property bounded <br />by Hazard Avenue to the north, Rosita <br />Street to the east, Fifth Street to the <br />south, and Euclid Street to the west from <br />low density Residential to Low-Medium <br />Density Residential, in accordance with <br /> <br /> <br />
