RESOLUTION NO. 78-57 PAGE TWO WHEREAS, the owner of land within the territory may under Section 35220 (h) of the Municipal Organization Act, 1977, file a written protest against the annexation with the Clerk of the Council, City of Santa Ana, at any time prior to conclusion of this Council's hearing on the proposed annexation: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA: 1. The foregoing recitals are true and correct, and this Council so finds and determines. 2. Notice is hereby given that at the hour of 5:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, on June 27, 1978, in the Council Chambers of the City of Santa Ana, 20 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, California, a public hearing will be held by this Council, at which time any and all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed annexation may appear and be heard. 3. That the Clerk of the Council is hereby directed to file the map and legal description, "Exhibit A" and "Exhibit B" hereto, in her office, where the same may be examined by any and all persons desiring to do so. 4. Pursuant to the requirements of Government Code Sections 35055 and 6066, the Clerk of the Council is hereby directed to cause a copy of this Resolution to be published once each week for two consecutive weeks in "The Register", a newspaper of general circulation in the City and County and beginning at least fifteen (15) days before the date set for said hearing. 5. Pursuant to the requirements of Government Code Section 35223, the Clerk of the Council is hereby directed to mail, by first class mail, a copy of this resolution to: (a) Any person who has filed his name and address with the clerk and has requested such mailed notice; (b) The chief petitioners, if any, as indicated in the petition initiating the instant proceedings; (c) To each affected city, county, and district; and (d) To the executive officer of the local agency formation commission. 6. Pursuant to Government Code Sections 35055 and 56085, the Clerk of the Council is hereby directed to cause notice of hearing on the proposed annexation referred to herein, to be posted on or near the doors of the Council Chambers of the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at the address referred to above on an official bulletin board and in other locations customarily used for posting public notices by or pertaining to this Council. Said notice is to be posted at least 15 days prior to the date specified herein for hearing and shall continue to the time of the hearing.
