DMF: ar <br />5/24/78 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 78-65 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA REQUESTING THE COUNTY OF ORANGE <br />TO ALLOCATE SAFER OFF-SYSTEM ROADS PROGRAM <br /> FUNDS FOR THE 1977-78 FISCAL YEAR. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana, by Resolution No. 78' 63 , dated June 5, 1978, has <br />approved the Orange County Sa~r Off-System Roads and the <br />method of distribution of funds; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana ("City") has iden- <br />tified the need for safety improvements for portions of <br />certain eligible City streets that are not on a federal <br />system; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Orange, by appropriate <br />action, intends to allocate the Safer Off-System Roads <br />Program funds to eligible agencies on a fiscal year basis <br />for said safety improvements. <br /> <br /> NOWt THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA: <br /> <br /> 1. The City Council hereby requests the Board <br />of Supervisors of the County of Orange to allocate to City <br />from the Safer Off-System Roads Program Funds the amount <br />of Forty-six Thousand Six Hundred Seven Dollars ($46,607.00) <br />for the fiscal year 1977-78, said amount to be matched <br />by funds from City based on the approximate ratio of 83 <br />percent Safer Off-System Roads Program funds to a minimum <br />of 17 percent City funds for the construction of said <br />safety improvements. <br /> <br /> 2. City's Director of Public Works is hereby <br />directed to submit this request to the Orange County Board <br />of Supervisors through the County's Arterial Highway Finan- <br />cing Program technical staff. <br /> <br /> 3. City's Director of Public Works is hereby <br />directed to prepare and submit at the earliest opportunity <br />the necessary field review forms to the California Depart- <br />ment of Transportation, District 7, for the required re- <br />view of the proposed project(s). <br /> <br /> 4. City's Director of Public Works is hereby <br />directed to prepare the necessary plans, specifications <br />and estimate of cost for the construction of said project <br />and to submit those documents on or before September 15, <br />1978, to the California Department of Transportation, <br /> <br /> <br />
