<br />on the north, plus appro×tm~tely five lots fronting on Bristol Street at the north-
<br />
<br />west corner of Fairview and Bristol Streets, from the C District to the C-1 District,
<br />with addition of PK, from the C-2-PK District to the R-3 District, from the R-1
<br />
<br />District and the C-2-PK District to the C-1 District, with addition of PK, and add-

<br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilm~n Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, Map of Tract No.
<br />2392 filed by Rosewood Homes, for the dedication of Central Avenue, Hemlock Way,
<br />Rosewood Avenue, Baker Street and the alley'was approved subject to conditions as
<br />set forth by the Department of Public Works. Bond in the amount of $70,000.00
<br />approved, license tax in the sum of $2,850.00 accepted and agreement covering
<br />improvements was ordered signed.

<br />On motion of Councdlm~n Gould, seconded by Markel and carried, Preliminary Record
<br />
<br />of Survey Map filed by Peter Nebeker on a division of land on the south side of
<br />Highland Street, beginning at a point approximately 560 feet west of the intersection
<br />of Shelton and Highland Streets, extending west approximately 99 feet, and to a depth
<br />of approximately 330 feet, was approved subject to conditions.

<br />On motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, Preliminary Record ~
<br />of Survey Map filed by Linseed 0il Products Company on property situated on the north
<br />'side of Talbert Avenue, approximately 980 feet west of Bristol Street, was approved
<br />subject to conditions.
<br />
<br />Communication was presented from Mrs. Weston Walker, Secretary Civic Beautification
<br />Committee, advising that a poll had been taken of property owners and tenants on
<br />North Main Street from 7th Street to the Freeway, and a preference was made for the
<br />replanting of Queen p~lm trees, (Cocos Plumosas), and that such tree,,as stated by
<br />the Director of Parks and Recreation would be replanted without charge, upon request.
<br />On motion of Councilman Markel, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the coemnauication
<br />was received and filed. R.E. Tebault, 2027 North Main Street, stated he under-
<br />stood that trees would be replanted without cost to the property owners; replacement
<br />
<br />to be Queen p~lm trees of uniform size. It was moved by Councilman~Hubbard, seconded
<br />
<br />by Gould and carried, that it is the intent and policy of the City Council to replace
<br />
<br />and plant trees wherever it is desired by the abutti~ property owner.
