EJC:adg <br />8/30/78 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 78-]15 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. <br />77-83 TO ADJUST THE COMPENSATION FIXED <br />AND ESTABLISHED FOR THE OFFICE OF THE <br />ACTING CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of the Clerk of the Council of <br />the City of Santa Aha will become vacant effective September 18, <br />1978, due to the retirement of Florence I. Malone; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council desires to appoint a <br />current employee of the City to serve as Acting Clerk of the <br />Council until the recruitment and selection of a permanent re- <br />placement can be made, andappoints Patricia E. Rice to serve as <br />Acting Clerk of the Council effective September 18, 1978; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council intends that the Clerk <br />of the Council's compensation be adjusted effective from and <br />after September 18, 1978, in consideration of the additional <br />duties and responsibilities to be assumed by Patricia E. Rice <br />as Acting Clerk of the Council. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council <br />of the City of Santa Ana: <br /> <br /> 1. That Resolution No. 77-83 be amended to change <br />the salary fixed and established for the Office of Clerk of <br />the Council from $2,255.00 per month to $1,800.00 per month. <br /> <br /> 2. That said adjusted salary shall be paid in the <br />same manner and at the same time as other monthly salaries <br />in the City are paid, and shall take effect and be paid from <br />and after September 18, 1978. <br /> <br /> 3. That Resolution No. 77-83 be amended by inserting <br />the word "Acting" before the words "Clerk of the Council" where- <br />ever those words are set forth. <br /> <br /> 4.
