RESOLUTION NO. 79-23 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 58-281 <br />TO ADD THE NEW CLASS OF POLICE RECORDS SUPER- <br />VISOR II AND TO CHANGE THE CLASS TITLE OF <br />CLERICAL OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR TO POLICE RECORDS <br />SUPERVISOR I AND ADJUST THE ASSIGNED SALARY RATE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on November 3, 1958, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution <br />No. 58-281, revising and re-establishing the Basic Compensation Plan for all officers <br />and employees of the City of Santa Ana; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Aha <br />requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classification <br />and pay plan subject to Civil Service Rules and Regulations and the approval of the <br />City Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has from time to time emended said Resolution; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is now desired to restructure, retitle and adjust the compensation <br />levels of two supervisory classes in the Police Department Records Section for the <br />purpose of more accurately defining assigned duties and responsibilities and to promote <br />stability and continuity of supervision through the establishment of an integrated <br />career ladder and equitable pay structure for such supervisory positions. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana: <br /> <br />1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 58-281, as amended, is hereby further <br /> emended by: <br /> <br />a. Adding, in proper alphabetical sequence, the class title of Police <br /> Records Supervisor II at Salary Range No. 364, $1233-$1488; and <br /> <br />Changing the existing class title of Clerical Operations Supervisor <br />to Police Records Supervisor I and changing the currently assigned <br />salary range from No. 313 ($961-$1168) to No. 330 ($1044-$1269). <br /> <br />2.
