KLG: ar <br />5/16/79 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-75 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SANTA ANA REQUESTING AN EXTENSION OF TIME AND <br />ADDITIONAL FUNDING FROM THE ORANGE COUNTY ARTERIAL <br />HIGHWAY FINANCING PROGRAM FOR AHFP PROJECT NO. 864. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of <br />Orange did, by Resolution No. 76-657, dated May 11, 1976, <br />establish a Fiscal Program for Fiscal Year 1976-77 under the <br />Orange County Arterial Highway Financing Program, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said program included funding for the widening <br />of Seventeenth Street between King Street and College Avenue <br />(Project 864), and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana has experienced an un- <br />foreseen delay in obtaining the necessary street right-of- <br />way from one parcel of property owned by the County of <br />Orange, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, construction costs have escalated dramatically <br />since the city submitted its project funding request in <br />1975, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the city has the necessary matching funds <br />available: <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA: <br /> <br /> That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby <br />requests the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange to <br />authorize an extension of time for award of a construction <br />contract for AHFP Project No. 864 from June 30, 1979 to <br />December 31, 1979, and the Board of Supervisors of the <br />County of Orange is hereby requested to authorize the <br />allocation of additional AHFP funds in the amount of One <br />Hundred Seventy-one Thousand Dollars ($171,000.00) for AHFP <br />Project No. 864. <br /> <br /> ADOPTED this 215t <br />by the following vote: <br /> <br />day of May , 1979, <br /> <br />AYES: COUNCILMEN: Bricken, Griset, Luxembourger, Markel~ <br /> Serrato, Ward~ Yamamoto <br />NOES: COUNCILMEN: None <br />ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> MAYOR <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />KEITH L.
