REL:ms <br />5/25/79 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-88 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING THE LAND USE <br />ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN BY REDESIGNATING <br />THAT PORTION OF THE CITY KNOWN AS THE LOGAN <br />AREA FROM THE INDUSTRY DESIGNATION TO A MIXED <br />RESIDENTIAL AND INDUSTRY DESIGNATION, EXCEPT <br />FOR A PORTION THEREOF WHICH IS REDESIGNATED <br />TO THE COMMUNITY SHOPPING CENTER DESIGNATION. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its regular <br />meeting held May 14, 1979, following public hearing noticed <br />and held in the manner prescribed in section 27-16 of the <br />Santa Ana Municipal Code, has approved and recommended to <br />the Council an amendment to the General Plan of the City of <br />Santa Ana as hereinafter set forth; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council has held a public hearing in <br />accordance with section 27-17 of the Santa Ana Municipal <br />Code, and based upon such hearing and the evidence therein <br />presented, does now find the said amendment, as recommended <br />by the Planning Commission, to be in the public interest; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council, prior to taking this action <br />has reviewed and considered the final environmental impact <br />report prepared for the project designated "Logan Neighborhood: <br />Amendments to the General Plan, Zoning Ordinances, and a <br />Specific Street Alignment" and does hereby approve and <br />certify said environmental impact report as having been <br />completed in compliance with the California Environmental <br />Quality Act and the State EIR Guidelines; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on the basis of the abovesaid environmental <br />impact report, it is found that this amendment to the General <br />Plan will not cause any substantial, or potentially substantial, <br />adverse change in any of the physical conditions within the <br />Logan Area and its surroundings; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA that the Land Use Element of the <br />General Plan of the City of Santa Ana is hereby amended by <br />redesignating that portion of the Logan Area specifically <br />described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated <br />herein, from the Industry designation to the Mixed Residential <br />and Industry designation, and redesignating that portion <br />specifically described in Exhibit B, attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein, from the Industry designation to the <br />Community Shopping Centers designation, in accordance with <br />that certain document entitled "GPA 1979-3 'D'," on file <br />with the Clerk of the Council. <br /> <br /> ADOPTED this 4th day of June , 1979, by <br />the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: COUNCILMEN: Bricken, Griset, Luxembourger, <br /> Serrato, Ward, Yamamoto <br />NOES: COUNCILMEN: Markel <br /> <br />ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />KEATH L.
