RESOLUTION NO. 79-101 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF POLICE <br />TO SUBMIT APPLICATION FOR GRANT FOR SANTA <br />ANA'S CAREER CRIMINAL APPREHENSION PROGRAM <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana desires to undertake a certain <br />project designated "Santa Ana's Career Criminal Apprehension Program" <br />to be funded in part from funds made available through the Omnibus <br />Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968, PL 90-351, as amended, <br />(hereafter referred to as the Crime Control Act) administered by <br />the Law Enforcement Assistance Administration (hereafter referred <br />to as LEAA). <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City <br />of Santa Ana: <br /> <br />That the Chief of Police is authorized to execute on <br />behalf of the City of Santa Ana, and submit to LEAA <br />that certain "Application for Federal Assistance (Non- <br />Construction Program) with Attached LEAA Form 400/3," <br />identified as the Santa Ana's Career Criminal Apprehen- <br />sion Program and dated March 3, 1979, a copy of which <br />is on file with the City Clerk, and any grant award that <br />may result therefrom. <br /> <br />That the City of Santa Ana agrees to provide all matching <br />funds required for said project (including any extension <br />or amendment thereof) under the Crime Control Act and the <br />rules and regulations of the Law Enforcement Assistance <br />Administration and that cash will be appropriated as <br />required thereby. <br /> <br />3.
