KLG:ar <br />6/28/79 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79404 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SANTA ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 58-281 TO <br />CHANGE SEVERAL CLASS TITLES AND ADJUST THE SALARY <br /> RANGE OF TWO POSITIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH PRO- <br /> VISIONS OF THE RECENTLY APPROVED ADMINISTRATIVE <br /> REORGANIZATION PLAN <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on June 18, 1979, the City Council approved <br />certain changes in the administrative organization of the <br />City of Santa Ana municipal government in order to eliminate <br />nonessential layering of administration; consolidate and <br />coordinate interrelated functions and activities; strengthen <br />management controls, including fiscal controls; eliminate <br />duplication of certain services and activities; provide <br />improved policy and long-range planning capability for the <br />City Council and the City Manager; and provide staff service <br />capabilities designed to assist Council members to quickly <br />and effectively respond to constituents regarding various <br />problems in the community; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to implement certain key aspects of <br />said administrative reorganization, it is now desired to <br />change certain class titles to more accurately reflect assigned <br />responsibilities and to increase the salary assigned to two <br />of those classes in order to provide a level of compensation <br />commensurate with added responsibilities. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 58-281, as amended, <br />is hereby further amended by: <br /> <br /> a.
