RESOLUTION NO. 79-133 <br />'Page Two <br /> <br />that said transactions will, if effected, not only settle <br />said claim but reduce the City's annual costs for leasing or <br />~$~ said equipment by the approximate sums of $20,000 <br />during the current fiscal year and $90,000 per year thereafter. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SANTA AIqA, as follows: <br /> <br /> A. That each and all of the foregoing findings is and <br />are true and correct, and this Council so finds and determines. <br /> <br /> B. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to <br />execute, on behalf of the City, contracts with Burroughs <br />Corporation to effect each and all of the transactions <br />specified in the finding numbered 4 above. <br /> <br /> C. That said contracts, and the computer equipment to <br />be acquired thereby, are deemed by this Council to be of <br />urgent necessity for the preservation of property, to-wit: <br />public financial resources of the City, by reason of the <br />facts hereinabove stated in findings numbered i through 4, <br />inclusive, which are hereby declared to be the facts con- <br />stituting such urgency. <br /> <br /> D. That, in the circumstances, going to bid for said <br />equipment would be an idle act, and that such is hereby <br />waived under and pursuant to the provisions of Section 421 <br />of the Charter. <br /> <br /> ADOPTED this <br />the following vote: <br /> <br />6th day of August , 1979, by <br /> <br />AYES: MEMBERS: <br />NOES: MEMBERS: <br />ABSENT: MEMBERS: <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Bricken, Griset, Luxembourger, Markel, <br /> Serrato, Ward, Yamamoto <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />KEITH L.
