9.2 Administration. <br /> <br />Each part time civil service employee shall be entitled to, and shall earn, 30 working <br />hours of vacation per year. Said vacation leave shall be credited to the employee in <br />two increments of 15 hours each on January 1 and July 1, respectively, each year. <br /> <br />An employee who has completed less than one yem" s service during the calendar year <br />shall receive a proportionate fraction in accordance with the amount of service to his <br />or her credit during the year; provided, however, no employee shall be entitled to or <br />receive payment for any vacation until he or she has completed six (6) months of <br />continuous service. <br /> <br />On or after the first (1st) day of the month following completion of six (6) months of <br />continuous full-time service, an employee may be allowed to take all or a <br />proportionate fraction of his or her earned vacation, subject to scheduling approval <br />of the employee's supervisor. <br /> <br />Limit: Vacation leave shall not be cumulative from year to year. Vacation time off <br />may be taken in increments as small as one-half (½) hour with fractional usage <br />rounded upward to the next higher multiple of one-half (1/2). <br /> <br />E. Computation of Regular Vacation. <br /> <br />Should an employee be confined to a hospital for sickness or injury while on <br />authorized vacation, each full day of such confinement, when confirmed by <br />a physician's statement and approval of the Department Head, may be <br />deduced from the computation of vacation expended and charged against the <br />employee's accumulated sick leave. <br /> <br />No employee shall have a right to accumulate or split his or her vacations, but <br />the same may be allowed or required by the Department Head. The time at <br />which an employee shall take his or her vacation shall be determined by the <br />Department Head, with due regard for the wishes of the employee and <br />particular regard for the needs of the service. <br /> <br /> ARTICLE X <br /> <br />10.0 OTHER LEAVES OF ABSENCE <br /> <br />10.1 <br /> <br /> Sick Leave. <br /> <br />A.
