RESOLUTION NO. 79-]76 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 58-281 TO PROVIDE A SPECIAL EQUITY <br />COMPENSATION ADJUSTMENT FOR THE MIDDLE MANAGEMENT CLASS OF <br />BATTALION CHIEF <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on November 3, 1958, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution <br />No. 58-281, revising and re-establishing the Basic Compensation Plan for all offi- <br />cers and employees of the City of Santa Aha; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has from time to time amended said Resolution; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council, on August 24, 1979, approved a two-year salary <br />adjustment plan for unrepresented Executive (EM) and Middle-Management (MM) classes, <br />effective July 1, 1979, including special equity adjustments for certain classes; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council also considered granting a special adjustment to <br />the class of Battalion Chief at that time but deferred final action until this <br />time in order to have more time in which to consider the matter more fully and to <br />make the determination hereinbelow set forth. For said reason, this Council <br />finds and determines that said salary adjustment, hereinbelow specified shall be <br />retroactive to July 1, 1979. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE City of Santa Aha: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 3, of Resolution 58-281, as amended, is hereby further <br />amended by: <br /> <br /> a. Assigning, in accordance with the recently-adopted two-year salary <br />adjustment plan for Executive and Middle-Management classes, the class of <br />Battalion Chief (MM) to the following salary rate ranges on the effective dates <br />as next herein set out: <br /> Monthly Salary Rate Range <br /> Effective Date No. Minimum Maximum <br /> <br />July 1, 1979 493 2311 2810 <br />July 1, 1980 507 2475 3010 <br /> <br />2.
