REL:ms <br />3/4/80 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-55 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA REQUESTING THE BOARD <br />OF SUPERVISORS OF ORANGE COUNTY TO <br />CONSOLIDATE A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION <br />OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA WITH THE GENERAL <br />ELECTION TO BE HELD ON JUNE 3, 1980 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana <br />intends to call a special election in the City of Santa Ana <br />on June 3, 1980 for the purpose of submitting to the qualified <br />voters of the City certain proposed amendments to the City <br />Charter; and an advisory measure on sales for apportionment; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there will be a statewide general election <br />held on June 3, 1980; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is deSirable that said special election <br />of the City of Santa Ana be consolidated with the statewide <br />general election to be held on the same date and that within <br />the City of Santa Aha the precincts, polling places and <br />election officers be the same, and that the Board of supervisors <br />of the County of Orange canvas the returns of the special <br />municipal election be held in all respects as if there were <br />only one election; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council <br />of the City of Santa Ana: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That pursuant to the requirements <br />of Section 23302 of the Elections Code of the State of <br />California, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange <br />is hereby requested to consent to and order the consolidation <br />with the general election of June 3, 1980, of a special <br />election of the City of Santa An~ to be held upon the same <br />date for the purpose of submitting to the electors of the <br />City of Santa Ana certain propositions to appear on the <br />ballot as follows: <br /> <br />NUMBER OF WARDS.
