<br />On motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Heinly and carried, plane, a~ Specifica-
<br />tions were approved for Project 115 (gas tax project) for construction of street
<br />impr~ovements on McClay Street from McFadden Street to 217 feet north of Chestnut
<br />Avenue; for Project C-41, construction of street improvements on Chestnut Avenue
<br />from McClay Street to Lyon Street; and approval was granted for the Santa Aha Valley
<br />Irrigation Co~oan~ to replace and lower existi~ irrigation lines in McClay Street
<br />(Project 115) and Chestnut Avenue (Project C-41)J

<br />Communication was read from the Department of Public Works requesting approval of
<br />pa~rment of $1,700.85 to A. H. Shipkey Co~mny, for City's proportionate share of
<br />street Improvements at intersection of Sullivan and Edinger Streets, and on motion
<br />
<br />of Councilman Gould, seconded by Heinly and carried, approval was grauted for pay-

<br />On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Brewer and carried, permission was
<br />granted to the Santa Ana Community Players to put up two banners overhanging some
<br />main area in the ~owntown section on certain dates, starting October 30, 1959
<br />through Ma~ 7, 1960, subject to the following conditions~ (1) Obtain the approval
<br />
<br />of the property owners where these banners are attahhed (2) Obtain sufficient insur-
<br />
<br />ance, a minimum of $100,O00.00 to $300,O00.00 (3) That the City be specifically
<br />named and listed as a party insured, and (4) Secure approval of the Department cf
