RESOLUTION NO. 80-96 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 58-281 TO DELETE THE CLASS TITLE <br />OF ASSISTANT CLERK OF THE COUNCIL AND ADD THE CLASS TITLE <br />OF DEPUTY CLERK OF THE COUNCIL II. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on November 3, 1958, the City Council passed and adopted <br />Resolution No. 58-281, revising and re-establishing the Basic Compensation <br />Plan for all officers and employees of the City of Santa Ana; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of <br />Santa Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position <br />classification and pay plan subject to Civil Service Rules and Regulations and <br />the approval of the City Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has from time to time amended said Resolution; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, as a result of a recently completed study of several positions <br />assigned to the Office of the Clerk of the Council, it is now desired to delete <br />an unused class title and to add a new class title. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana: <br /> 1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 58-281, as amended, is hereby <br />further amended by: <br /> <br />a. Deleting the class title of Assistant Clerk of the Council. <br /> <br /> b. Adding, in the proper alphabetical sequence, the new class <br />title of DEPUTY CLERK OF THE COUNCIL II at Salary Range Numbers 360 ($1209- <br />$1469), effective June 1, 1980, and 374 ($1294-$1573), effective July 1, 1980. <br /> <br /> c. Changing the title of the existing class of Deputy Clerk of <br />the Council to DEPUTY CLERK OF THE COUNCIL I (at no change in salary level). <br /> <br />2.
