RESOLUTION NO. 80-116 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF POLICE <br />TO SUBMIT APPLICATION FOR GRANT FOR A <br />BURGLARY AND STOLEN PROPERTY RECOVERY PROJECT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana desires to undertake a certain <br />project designated "Burglary and Stolen Property Recovery Project" <br />to be funded in total from funds made available through the <br />Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968, PL 90-351, <br />as amended, (hereafter referred to as the Crime Control Act) <br />administered by the Law Enforcement Assistance Administration <br />(hereafter referred to as LEAA). <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Ana: <br /> <br />That the Chief of Police is authorized to execute, on <br />behalf of the City of Santa Ana, and submit that <br />certain "Application for Grant for Law Enforcement <br />Purposes" to LEAA. <br /> <br />That the City of Santa Ana agrees to provide all <br />in-kind services required for said project (including <br />any extension or amendment thereof) under the Crime <br />Control Act and the rules and regulations of LEAA. <br /> <br />That grant funds received hereunder shall not be <br />used to supplant law enforcement expenditures controlled <br />by this body. <br /> <br /> ADOPTED, this 7th <br />by the following vote: <br /> <br />day of July , 1980, <br /> <br />AYES: COUNCII~N: <br />NOES: COUNCILMEN: <br /> <br />BRICKEN, GRISET, LUXEIqBOURGER, MARKEL, <br />SERRATO, WARD, YAI~DTO <br />NONE <br /> <br />ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: NONE <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br /> <br />
