Hubbard, Stanley C. Gould, Jr., Dale H. Heinly, <br /> Bob Brewer, A. Ao Hall <br /> Noes, Councilmen None <br /> Absent, Councilmen None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, that escrow <br /> instructions be approved and signed with Kenneth C. and Marcia Huber Price, for <br /> purchase of property for park site, consisting of 11.55838 acres, and described as <br /> Lot 158 of Tentative Tract No. 3627, located east of the Santa Aha River, north of <br /> Edinger Street, west of FairviewAvenue and south of West McFadden Street, in <br /> consideration of $86,687.85. <br /> <br /> On motion of Counc~lma~ Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the M~yor <br /> authorized to sign Change Order No. l, dated December 4, 1959, with Gallegos Cor- <br /> poration for the Police Facilities Building, in the total amount of $1,75B.00, as <br /> follows: Item~l - Second Floor toilet room changes, $1,242.37; Item ~2 - Welding <br /> Plates for tilt-up panels $924.00; item #3 - 25 complete sets of drawings, speci- <br /> fications and details, credit $309.70; and item ~ - 3 complete sets of drawings, <br /> specifications and details and 5 prints of R-15, R-15A and R-15B, credit $103.67. <br /> <br /> The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br /> Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, the following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 59-312 declaring yieldright-of-way Intersection <br /> and concerning parking limitations and curb markings in accord- <br /> ance therewith" <br /> installing "Yield Right-of-Way" signs <br />~esignating Oxford Street to "yield" to Cypress Avenue, and establishing Red Zones, <br /> <br /> as reco~mmended by the Depsrtment of Public Works, w~s considered and passed by the <br /> <br />fmllowing vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen <br /> <br />Noes, Councilmen <br />Absent, Councilmen <br /> <br /> Royal E. Hall <br /> None <br /> None <br /> <br />CouncilmRn Heinly suggested that an Ordinance be adopted regulating Junk an~ wreck- <br />ing yards and referred to the unsightly appearance of the Junk yard at Washington <br />and Lincoln Avemues. It was moved by Councilm~n Hein~y, seconded by Nubbar~ and <br />carried, that the Attorney be instructed to prepare an Ordinance re~lating the <br />conditiens under which ~unk and ~recking yar~s are operated, with respect to fencing, <br />stacking of cars and having the cars outside of these fences; also providing pro- <br />visions strong enough that anyone guilty of such violation would be guilty of a <br />misdemeanor. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, that the Manager <br />be instructed to advise the proper department to effect better training of the <br />school boy patrols, with reference to directing traffic, making certain that school <br />boy patrols are on time at the designated areas, and investigate the possibility of <br />two more school boy patrols. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the City Council <br />adjourned to Monday, December 14, 1959, at 5:00 P.M. in the Council Chamber. <br /> <br />Clerk of the Council <br /> <br /> <br />
