<br /> by a divider strip which is a disgrace to the City and neighborhood and requesting

<br /> the City,

<br /> On motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Heinly and carried, the resignation of
<br />
<br />James Gilmore, as a member of the Charles W. Bowers Memorial Museum Board, was
<br />
<br />accepted with regret and the Clerk directed to send a letter to him expressing ap-
<br />
<br />preciation for his services on the Board.

<br />Ou motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Brewer and carried, the request of
<br />
<br />Emmet C. Rogers was granted for an extension of time of one year for improvements
<br />
<br />in Tract No. 2977, being property on both sides of Westwood Avenue between 21st and
<br />
<br />Santa Clara Avenue.

<br />On motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Brewer and carried, the request of
<br />
<br />Leon E. Furon was granted for a City license to conduct the Broadway Billiard Parlor,
<br />
<br />310~ North Broadway, abel the written report of the Police Department was received
<br />
<br />and filed.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman Gould,
<br />
<br />seconded by Brewer and carried, the written recommen-
<br />
<br />dation of the Manager, dated January 28, 1960, for salary step increases for two
<br />
<br />employees, effective February 1, 1960, was approved.
