<br />It was moved by Councilman Gould, seconded by Brewer and carried, that Amendment
<br />to Escrow Instructions No. 43666-C, dated January 7, 1960, be approved and signed
<br />with Juliette Tiernan for street easement over the easterly l0 feet of property
<br />known and numbered as 902 North Main Street, for the widening of said street,
<br />without cash consideration from said City; a~d agreement with the City that said
<br />owner, in consideration of the sum of $36,000.00 will pay all costs involved in the
<br />removal of the front of the store building, and to extend the date to March l, 1960,
<br />for the removal of the building from the said ten-foot street easement.

<br />It was moved by Counci!~u Gould, seconded by Brewer and c~rried, that escrow
<br />instructions No. 391263-JL, dated December 7, 1959, be approved and signed with
<br />Louis J. Celia, Jr., and Marion N. Cella and Joseph Canale and Mary M. Canale,
<br />convoying property os the south side of First Street, the east siie of Pacific
<br />Avenue, and on alley for an easement for street purposes, in the amount of
<br />
<br />$~,500.oo.

<br />Mrs. Helen Ropel, 1053 W. St. Andrews Place, stated there is a needless problem in
<br />the manner of bicycle licensing and presented a c~ication listing the disadvan-
<br />tages, and on motion of Councilman Brewer, seconded by Gould and carried, the eom-
<br />munication was received and filed. On motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by
<br />Heinly and carried, the matter was referred to the Administrative Staff to resolve
<br />the problem on a more equitable basis.

<br />Councilman Brewer left the meeting.
<br />
<br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of
<br />Councilman Gould, seconded by Heinly and carried, the following Resolution entitled:
<br />
<br /> "Resolution No. 60-~0 accepting deeds where the City
<br /> is paying no cash consideration"
<br />
<br />from Cunninghsm Builders, Inc., conveying a ~O-foot strip on the east s~de of
<br />Tract No. ~82; from El~na B. Gunther, conveying a lO-foot easement for water main
<br />purposes over the south side of Bolsa Avenue, east of Harbor; from Elba and Goldie
<br />~. Jones, conveying a lO-foot easement for water main purposes on the south side
<br />of Bolsa Avenue, east of Harbor; and from Savage Construction Co., Inc., conveying
<br />an 8-foot easement for drainage purposes east of Cooper Street, was considered and
<br />passed by the following vote:

<br />Noes, Councilmen None

<br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of
<br />Councilman Gould, seconded by Heinly and carried, the following Resolution entitled:

<br />in consideration of payment of $4,500.00, conveying property on the south side of
<br />First Street, the east side of Pacific Avenue, and on alley for street easement
<br />purposes, was considered and passed by the following vote:
