RESOLUTION NO. 80-215 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA REQUESTING THE COUNTY <br />OF ORANGE TO INCLUDE WITHIN THE ARTERIAL <br />HIGHWAY FINANCING PROGRAM THE DEVELOPMENT <br />OF CERTAIN STREETS WITHIN THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana desires to improve certain streets <br />within the City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Articles 2 and 3 of Chapter 9, Division 2, of the Streets <br />and Highways Code of the State of California authorize a county to expend <br />funds apportioned to it out of the California Highway Users' Tax Fund for <br />aid to any city for the improvement, construction, or repair of streets <br />within such city; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange intends <br />to provide in the County budget of the Special Road Improvement Fund for <br />fiscal year 1981-82 a sum of money for the improvement of streets within <br />the incorporated cities of the County in accordance with the Orange County <br />Arterial Highway Financing Program; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City <br />of Santa Ana: <br /> <br /> That the City of Santa Ana does hereby request the Board of <br />Supervisors of the County of Orange to allocate to the City of Santa Ana <br />in said budget for fiscal year 1981-82, from County funds, the amount of <br />$750,000 for the improvement of a certain street, as follows: <br /> <br />Project Description <br /> <br /> Estimated <br />Expenditure <br /> <br />Requested <br />AHFP Funding <br /> <br />BROADWAY OVERCROSSING - Construction <br />Santa Clara Avenue to Memory Lane <br /> <br />$1,500,000 $750,000 <br /> <br />Said improvement is to be in accordance with the "Arterial Highway <br />Financing Preliminary Project Statement", dated November 20, 1980, copies <br />of which are on file in the office of the Clerk of the Council. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Board of Supervisors of the <br />County of Orange is hereby requested to find that said work, in the manner <br />provided, is in the general interest of the County. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 8th day of December, 1980, by the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: COUNCILMEN: <br />NOES: COUNCILMEN: <br /> <br />Griset, Luxembourger, Serrato, Ward, <br />Yamamoto <br />Markel <br /> <br />ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Br±cken <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />EDWARD J.
