REL:adg <br />12/1/80 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-2]7 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA REQUESTING THE BOARD <br />OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF ORANGE <br />TO PERMIT THE REGISTRAR OF VOTERS OF SAID <br />COUNTY TO RENDER SPECIFIED SERVICES TO <br />SAID CITY RELATING TO THE CONDUCT OF A <br />GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN <br />SAID CITY ON MARCH 3, 1981. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election is to be <br />held in the City of Santa Ana on March 3, 1981 in <br />consolidation with a special election of the Santa Ana <br />Unified School District; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in the course of conduct of said <br />election, and in relation thereto, it will be necessary to <br />mail sample ballots and polling place information to the <br />registered voters of the City, and it will facilitate such <br />mailing if the Registrar of Voters of the County of Orange <br />will make available to this City the computer record of the <br />names and addresses of all eligible registered voters in <br />order that labels may be printed for attaching to self- <br />mailer sample ballot booklets; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it will also facilitate the conduct of <br />said election if the Registrar of Voters will provide <br />certain other supplies and services incidental to the said <br />election to the City; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, all necessary expense in performing such <br />services shall be paid by the City; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. That, pursuant to the provisions of <br />Section 22003 of the Elections Code of the State of <br />California, this Council hereby requests the Board of <br />Supervisors of Orange County to permit the Registrar of <br />Voters to provide the following services to this City, as <br />requested by the Clerk of the Council, for use in conducting <br />said election: <br /> <br /> (1) Verification of voters registration of <br />persons signing candidates' nominating papers; <br /> <br />(2) Provision of voting booth$~ <br /> <br /> (3) Provision of the County's record of <br />the names and addresses of all eligible registered <br />voters in this City and in the Santa Ana Unified <br />School District as necessary for the mailing of <br />sample ballots and other election materials to <br />said voters prior to the election; <br /> <br /> (4) Provision of printed indices of the voters <br />to be used at the polling places; <br /> <br /> <br />
