<br />On motion of CounciLman Hubbard~ seconfled by Heinly and carried, the request of the
<br />City of Hope National Medical Center, was granted to solicit funds on June 5, 1960.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, the claim of
<br />
<br />William E. Groom, Jr., 6182 Chickasaw Drive~ Westminster.. reportdng alleged damage
<br />to his car on January 12, 1960, by a fallen tree, as he was driving southeast on
<br />Poinsettia Street approaching the intersection at Fruit Street, was referred to the
<br />City Attorney and Insurance Carrier.

<br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, the Mayor was author-
<br />ized to execute the following Change Orders, with the Gallegos Corporation, for the
<br />Santa Aha Public Library, as follows:
<br />
<br /> Change Order No. 13, dated February 8, 1960: Item No. i - add $2,~89.00; Item
<br />No. ~ - add $1,?hO.00; Item No. 3 - add $200.00; and Item No. h - add $1~0.00. Total
<br />extras $~ 559.00.
<br /> Change Order No. l~, dated February 9, 1960: Item No. i - add $1,909.00; Total
<br />extras $1,909.00.

<br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried~ the written recom-
<br />mendation of the Manager, dated February 10, 1960, for salary step increases for four
<br />employees, effectdve March l, 1960, was approved.
<br />
<br />On motion of Couucilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, the reqA est of
<br />American National Red Cross was denied to display flags from light standards through-
<br />out the business area of Santa Aha during the month of March, 1960, add the communi-
<br />cation was received and filed.

<br />It was moved by Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, that the request
<br />of Mrs. Virgil Wulff, 2230 W. St. Gertrude Place, be denied, for traffic control
<br />at the intersection of Center aud W. St. Gertrude Place, for the protection of the
<br />children attending the John Adams School.

<br />It was moved by Councilman Heinly, seconded by Hubbard and carried, that the request
<br />of Principal of Diamond Elementary School, 2305 W. Edinger Street, be denied, for
<br />
<br />a loading zone instead of a No Parking zone, in front of the school.

<br />the meeting held December ll, 1959, the Board of Directors of the Santa Aha Chamber

<br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of
<br />CounciLman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, the following Resolution entitled:
