RESOLUTION NO. 80-223 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR $466,400 TO CONSTRUCT <br />A NEW SANTA ANA AMTRAK STATION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana has authorized <br />submittal of a grant request to the California Department of Transportation <br />for construction of a new Amtrak Station; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the California Department of Transportation has recommended <br />award of a grant to the City of Santa Ana for this project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the California Transportation Commission has awarded a <br />grant of $466,400 to the City of Santa Ana for this project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the California Department of Transportation is the agency <br />charged with administrating this grant; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA RESOLVES: <br />That the Mayor be authorized to execute a grant agreement and related documents <br />for implementation between the California Department of Transportation and the <br />City of Santa Ana for construction of the Santa Ana Intercity Commuter Station. <br /> <br /> ADOPTED THIS 15th day of <br />following vote: <br /> <br />December <br /> <br />, 1980, by the <br /> <br />AYES, COUNCILMEN: <br />NOES, COUNCILMEN: <br /> <br />Griset, Luxembourger, Markel, Serrato, <br />Ward, Yamamoto <br />None <br /> <br />ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: Bricken <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />ES E.
