REL:adg <br />1/6/82 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-3 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA REVERSING THE ACTION <br />OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION ON CONDITIONAL <br />USE PERMIT APPLICATION NO. 81-13, APPROVING <br />SAID CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT, AND GRANTING <br />APPEAL NO. 459 FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />1111 SOUTH HARBOR BOULEVARD <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a public hearing was duly held before the <br />City Council of the City of Santa Ana on January 4, 1982, on <br />the action taken by the Planning Commission in denying <br />Conditional Use Permit Application No. 81-13, which <br />application seeks to allow construction of an outdoor <br />advertising sign (billboard) at 1111 South Harbor Boulevard <br />in the C2 District; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, prior to taking action on said <br />Conditional Use Permit Application, this Council has <br />reviewed and considered the Negative Declaration for the <br />project, including Initial Study No. IS 81-110; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. That based on such public hearing and the oral and <br />documentary evidence submitted therein, the City Council <br />does hereby reverse the action of the Planning Commission <br />denying said Conditional Use Permit Application No. 81-13, <br />and does hereby approve said Conditional Use Permit and <br />grant Appeal No. 459. <br /> <br /> 2. That the City Council hereby adopts, as its <br />findings of fact for the approval of Conditional Use Permit <br />No. 81-13, the following: <br /> <br />(a) As conditoned hereinbelow, the subject sign <br />is consistent with a policy of providing a moderate <br />amount of outdoor advertising space in appropriate <br />locations in the City, which service contributes <br />to the general well-being of the community. <br /> <br />(b) The subject sign will not have a significant <br />adverse effect on persons or property in the <br />vicinity, due to the circumstances of its locations <br />and surroundings, and the conditions of approval <br />hereinbelow. <br /> <br />(c) The subject sign will be in compliance with <br />all relevant zoning regulations and conditions. <br /> <br /> <br />
