RESOLUTION biO. 81-32 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF ~%HE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 58-281 TO ESTABLISH AN ASSI(~ENT <br />PAY DIFFERENTL~L FOR FIRE C~AIN INCL~BENTS TMMI~DRA}LILY <br />ASSIGNED TO SERVE AS EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT FOR (/IMMUNITY <br />AND DEVELOPMENT SERVICES <br /> <br /> W~EREAS, on November 3, 1958, the City Council passed and <br />adopted l~solution N~. 58-281, revising and re-establishing the Basic <br />Compensation Plan for all officers and ~ployees of the City of Santa <br />Ana; and <br /> <br /> W~HEREAS, Section 1004, Aritcle X of the City Charter of the <br />City of Santa Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and <br />~intain a position classification and pay plan subject to Civil Service <br />~les and l~ulations and the approval of the City Council; and <br /> <br /> W~IEREAS, the City Council has frcm time to time anended said <br />~solution; and <br /> <br /> W~HEREAS, in order to immediately implament the activities of <br />the Executive Assistant f0D OamLunity and Develo~ent Services as spe- <br />cified in the administrative reorganization plan, it is desirable to <br />mak~ a temporary assigr~nent of a public safety employee to such posi- <br />tion; and to provide compensation equivalent to the salary approved by <br />Council in the reorganization plan, without separating said ~mployee <br />frem Public Safety retirement status for a period of six m~nths. <br /> <br /> NOW, ~HEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City <br />of Santa Ana: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 3 of l%esolution No. 58-281, as anended, is <br />hereby further anended by: <br /> <br /> a. Adding the following pay differential designation to <br />the list of such designations footnoted at the end of section 3: <br /> <br />An incu~nt in the class of Fire Captain who <br />is t~mporarily assigned to and serving as Ex- <br />ecutive ~ssistant for Cc~munity and Development <br />Services during the period of Dec,bet 16, 1980 <br />to June 15, 1981 will be paid an additional <br />$416.00 above his/her then current base monthly <br />salary rate. <br /> <br /> 2.
