REL:adg <br />2/26/81 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 81-36 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA DESIGNATING THE RAMONA <br />BUILDING AS HISTORICAL PROPERTY FOR <br />INCLUSION IN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA'S <br />REGISTER OF HISTORICAL PROPERTY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana <br />has provided, in Chapter 30 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code, <br />for the maintenance of the City of Santa Ana's Register of <br />Historical Property, to include such property as the City <br />Council determines to have architectural or historical <br />significance in accordance with the standards set forth in <br />Section 30-2 of the said Code; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, designation of property as Historical <br />Property promotes rehabilitation by allowing the application <br />of the State Historical Building Code and, as to property <br />within an historical rehabilitation area, by giving <br />eligibility for historical rehabilitation financing; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the property set forth hereinafter has <br />been recommended for designation as Historical Property by a <br />citizen's advisory committee; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The Ramona Building, located at 118 W. Fifth <br />Street, has been found to meet the standards for designation <br />as Historical Property set forth in Section 30-2 of the <br />Santa Ana Municipal Code and is hereby designated as <br />Historical Property, to be included in the City of Santa <br />Ana's Register of Historical Property. <br /> <br /> 2. For the abovesaid property, the corresponding <br />report entitled "Historical Property Description," on file <br />in the office of the Clerk of the Council, is hereby <br />approved and adopted as the findings justifying designation <br />as Historical Property. The Clerk of the Council is <br />authorized and directed to include such a report, together <br />with this Resolution, in the City of Santa Ana's Register of <br />Historical Property. <br /> <br /> ADOPTED, this 16th day of March , 1981, by <br />the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: COUNCILMEN: <br />NOES: COUNCILMEN: <br /> <br />Bricken, Griset, Luxembourger, Serrato, <br />Ward, Yamamoto <br />Markel <br /> <br />ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY <br /> <br /> <br />
