RESOLUTION NO. 8]-]29 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA <br />ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 58-281 TO ADD THE NEW CLASS <br />TITLE OF DIRECTOR OF PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT SERVICES <br />AND TO DESIGNATE SAID CLASS AS UNREPRESENTED EXECUTIVE <br />MANAGEMENT. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on November 3, 1958, the City Council passed and adopted P, msolution <br />No. 58-281, revising and re-establishing the Basic Compensation Plan for all offi- <br />cers and employees of the City of Santa Aha; and <br /> <br /> WHEREA~, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ama <br />requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classification <br />and pay plan subject to Civil Service Rules and Regulations and the approval of the <br />City Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has from time to time amended said Resolution; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, with the adoption of the 1981-82 Annual Budget, City Council approved <br />a reorganization of the City's development services functions and activities by <br />consolidating the formerly separate departments of Planning and Building Safety <br />into a new department of Planning and Development Services; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to expedite the implmentation of said reorganization it is <br />now desired to establish a single new Executive Management class of Director of <br />Planning and Development Services in place of the two separate classes of Director <br />of Planning (EM) and Director of Building Safety (EM) so that recruitment of qual- <br />ified candidates for the new position can be begun immediately. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 58-281, as amended, is hereby further <br />amended by: <br /> <br /> a. Adding, in proper alphabetical sequence, the new class title of <br />DIRECTOR OF PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT SERVICES at Salary Rate Range No. 540, <br />$2907-$3533 per month. <br /> <br /> b. Designating said new class as Unrepresented Executive Management by <br />adding the parenthetical identifier (EM) next to following the class title <br /> <br /> 2.
