RESOLUTION NO. 81-169 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 58-281 TO ADD THE NEW CLASS OF <br />PERMIT TECHNICIAN TO THE CITY'S BASIC CLASSIFICATION AND <br />PAY PLAN. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on November 3, 1958 the City Council passed and adopted Resolution <br />No. 58-281, revising and re-establishing the Basic Compensation Plan for all <br />officers and employees of the City of Santa Aha; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa <br />Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classi- <br />fication and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and the appro- <br />val of the City Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has from time to time amended said Resolution; <br />and <br /> WHEREAS, with the adoption of the 1981-82 Annual Budget for the Department <br />of Development Services, City Council authorized the addition of a new position <br />tentatively entitled PERMIT TECHNICIAN: and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is now desired to add a new class to the City's Basic Class- <br />ification and Pay Plan for the purpose of classifying and fixing the salary level <br />of said new position. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 58-281, as amended, is hereby further <br />amended by: <br /> <br /> a. Adding, in proper alphabetical sequence, the class title of <br />PERMIT TECHNICIAN, and <br /> <br /> b. Assigning said new class, in accordance with the current two-year <br />salary adjustment program, to the salary rate ranges on the effective dates as <br />next herein set out: <br /> <br />Effective Date <br /> <br />November 1, 1981 <br />July l, 1982 <br />January 1, 1983 <br /> <br />Salary Rate Ranses <br /> <br />No. 399 ($1463-$1778) <br />No. 411 ($1549-$1883) <br />No. 417 ($1596-$1940) <br /> <br />2.
