RESOLUTION N0,81-171 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 58-281 <br />TO ADD THE NEW CLASS OF CRIMINALISTICS LAB- <br />ORATORY AIDE TO THE CITY'S BASIC CLASSIFICATION <br />AND PAY PLAN. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on November 3, 1958 the City Council passed and adopted <br />Resolution No. 58-281, revising and re-establishing the Basic Compensation Plan <br />for all officers and employees of the City of Santa Aha; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of <br />Santa Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position <br />classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and the <br />approval of the City Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has from time to time amended said Resolution; <br />and <br /> WHEREAS, with the adoption of the 1981-82 Annual Budget for the Criminal- <br />istics Unit of the Police Department, tentatively entitled Crime Laboratory <br />Assistant; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is now desired to add a new class to the City's Basic Class- <br />ification and Pay Plan for the purpose of classifying and fixing the salary level <br />of said new position. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br /> <br />1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 58-281, as amended, is hereby further <br />amended by: <br /> <br /> a. Adding, in proper alphabetical sequence, the class title of <br />CRIMINALISTICS LABORATORY AIDE, and <br /> <br /> b. Assigning said new class, in accordance with the current two-year <br />salary adjustment program, to the salary rate ranges on the effective dates as next <br /> <br />herein set out: <br /> <br />Effective Date <br /> <br />November 1, 1981 <br />July 1, 1982 <br />January 1, 1983 <br /> <br />Salary Rate Ranges <br /> <br />No. 288 ($851-$1034) <br />No. 300 ($902-$1096) <br />No. 306 ($929-$1129) <br /> <br />2.
