REL: adg <br />10/20/81 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 81-186 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DETERMINING <br />THAT A PROJECT AREA COMMITTEE SHALL <br />NOT BE FORMED IN CONNECTION WITH THE <br />SANTA ANA SOUTH HARBOR BOULEVARD <br />REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 81-6099, adopted on <br />October 12, 1981, the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Santa Ana selected and designated the boundaries of the <br />Project Area for the Santa Ana South Harbor Boulevard <br />Redevelopment Project, approved a Preliminary Plan for the <br />redevelopment of the Project Area, and submitted the <br />Preliminary Plan to the Community Redevelopment Agency of <br />the City of Santa Ana; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Community Redevelopment Agency has <br />submitted the Preliminary Plan to the Santa Ana <br />Redevelopment Commission for preparation of an official <br />redevelopment plan for the proposed Project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the California Community Redevelopment <br />Law (Health and Safety Code, Section 33000 et seq.) requires <br />that a project area committee be formed if a substantial <br />number of low- and moderate-income families will be <br />displaced by the Project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the California Community Redevelopment <br />Law also requires, in the event the Project will not <br />displace a substantial number of low- and moderate-income <br />families, the Redevelopment Commission to consult with the <br />and obtain the advice of residents and community <br />organizations either through the formation of a project area <br />committee or through direct consultation with and obtaining <br />advice from such residents and community organizations, and <br />further requires that the proposed Redevelopment Plan be <br />provided to such residents and community organizations prior <br />to submitting it to the City Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Santa Ana South Harbor Boulevard <br />Redevelopment Project for which the Redevelopment Commission <br />is preparing a Redevelopment Plan will not displace a <br />substantial number of low- and moderate-income families. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council <br />of the City of Santa Ana as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. The City Council hereby finds and determines <br />that the Santa Ana South Harbor Boulevard Redevelopment <br />Project will not displace a substantial number of low- and <br />moderate-income families, and that formation of a project <br />area committee is not required prior to adoption of the <br />Redevelopment Plan. The City Council further determines <br />that a project area committee shall not be formed in <br />connection with the Project. <br /> <br /> <br />
