A. Nelson, et al, to reclassify from R-1 District of the County of <br />Orange, to the C-1 and R-3 Districts of the City of Santa Ana, property <br />as that area 660 feet south of Santa Clara ^venue, having 660 feet of frontage <br />on the east side of Tustin Avenue, and being approximately 991 feet deep, wes <br />considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, Dale H. Heinly, Bob Brewer, A. A. Hall <br />Noes, Councilmen None <br />Absent, CounciLmen Stanley C. Gould, Jr. <br /> <br />Mayor Hall left the Chair. Vice-Mayor Hubbard assumed the Chair. <br /> <br />It wes moved by Councilman Hall and seconded by Brewer that the "Ordinance to <br />reestablish two-wey traffic on Sycamore Street from McFadden Avenue on the <br />south to 17th Street on the north" be introduced, considered and placed on file <br /> <br />Roll Call Ayes, CounciLmen Bob Brewer, A. Mayor Hall resumed the Chair. <br /> <br />Communication wes presented from Mrs. McKinzie, 2120 So. Van Ness Avenue, re- <br />questing permission to rent the Recreation Hall on Eighth Street, or the Cypress <br />Recreation Hall, fo~ her son, Reverend JackMcKinzie, to conduct Church of the <br />Bible services Sunday morning and evening and one night a week, preferably Wedne~ <br />day, for the young people's gathering. Reverend Jack McKinzie, 1410 So. Douglas <br />Street, stated their Church has been attempting to locate a temporary meeting <br />place until such time as the Church is constructed, and have contacted store <br />buildings, warehouses, halls and mortuaries without success. Reverend McKinzie <br />stated he has been pastoring for over ten years procuring new Churches, and this <br />is the first time he has encountered difficulty in locating suitable premises. <br />We desire to use a small hall or the Recreation Hall on Cypress Street, on a <br />monthly basis, and we are in a position to pay a rental of $100.00 per month to <br />conduct services on Sundays and one night per week. Reverend Paul McKinzie, <br />10582 Blake Street, Garden Grove, stated the Church wes informed they could use <br />mortuary building in which they made repairs, and after inspection by the Buildi <br />and Fire Departments, use of the building~as disapproved. The Mayor suggested <br />that contact be made with the Masonic Temple and Markel Hall to rent space and <br />report back to the Council in two weeks. On motion of Councilman Heinly, secon- <br />ded by Hubbard and carried, action was continued to the next meeting. <br /> <br />On motion of CounciLman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, the application <br /> <br /> was gran~d, <br />of the Loyal Order of Moose/~o so£icit funds November 1~ to December 14, 1960, <br /> <br />inclusive, for the Orange County Association for retarded children, through <br />containers to be placed in business establishments in the City for the deposit <br />of monies. <br /> <br />0~ motion of CounciLman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, the following <br />cGmmunications were received and filed: <br /> <br /> From Councilman Stanley C.
