RESOLUTION NO. 81-198 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AMENDING RESOLUTION No. 58-281 AND RESOLUTION NO. 81-139 <br />TO PROVIDE SPECIAL EQUITY SALARY ADJUSTMENTS FOR CERTAIN <br />UNREPRESENTED MANAGEMENT CLASSIFICATIONS. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on November 3, 1958, the City Council passed and adopted <br />Resolution No. 58-281, revising and reestablishing the Basic Compensation Plan for <br />all officers and employees of the City of Santa Aha; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has from time to time amended said Resolution; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on August 17, 1981, the City Council passed and adopted <br />Resolution No. 81-139, amending Resolution No. 58-281 to provide a new compensation <br />plan for management personnel, including salary adjustment schedules for fiscal <br />years 1981-82 and 1982-83; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the consideration of special equity adjustments for a number <br />of management classes was deferred until this time in order to conclude labor <br />negotiations regarding salary and benefit adjustments for the City's represented <br />(non-management) employees; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, based on ananalysis of prevailing rates paid for comparable <br />management positions in other agencies in Santa Ana's relative labor market and <br />the application of other salary administration criteria, including internal salary <br />relationship considerations, the Council finds and determines that special salary <br />adj~ents are warranted for the management classes set forth hereinbelow; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to maintain the relevancy and equity of the Basic <br />Compensation Plan, the Council desires to amend Resolution No. 81-139 by assign- <br />ing new salary rate ranges for said management classes from and after January 1, 1982. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 58-281, as amended by Resolution <br />No. 81-139 is hereby further amended by: <br /> <br /> a. Changing the class title of Redevelopment Real Estate Officer <br />to Real Estate Officer. <br /> <br /> b. Assigning the following class titles to the new 3-Step (A through <br />C) management salary rate ranges on the effective dates as next herein set out: <br /> <br /> Class Title <br /> <br />E~CUTIVE MANAGEMENT CLASSES <br /> <br />Salary.
