RESOLUTION NO. 81-213 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA REQUESTING THE COUNTY <br />OF OPJ~NGE TO INCLUDE WITHIN THE ARTERIAL <br />HIGHWAY FINANCING PROGRAM THE DEVELOPMENT <br />OF CERTAIN STREETS WITHIN THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana desires to improve certain streets <br />within the City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Articles 2 and 3 of Chapter 9, Division 2, of the Streets <br />and Highways Code of the State of California authorize a county to expend <br />funds apportioned to it out of the California Highway Users' Tax Fund for <br />aid to any city for the improvement, construction, or repair of streets <br />within such city; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange intends <br />to provide in the County budget of the Special Road Improvement Fund for <br />fiscal year 1982-83 a sum of money for the improvement of streets within <br />the incorporated cities of the County in accordance with the Orange County <br />Arterial Highway Financing Program; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City <br />of Santa Ana: <br /> <br /> That the City of Santa Ana does hereby request the Board of <br /> Supervisors of the County of Orange to allocate to the City of Santa Ana <br /> in said budget for fiscal year 1982-83, from County funds, the amount of <br /> $2,185,500 for the improvement of certain streets, as follows: <br /> <br /> Estimated Requested <br />_Project Description Expenditure AHFP Funding <br />BROADWAY OVERCROSSING - Construction $3,375,000 $1,687,500 <br />Santa Clara Avenue to Memory Lane <br />FIRST STREET WIDENING - Right-of-Way $ 996,000 $ 498,000 <br />Santa Ana River to West City Limits <br /> <br /> Said improvements are to be in accordance with the "Arterial Highway <br /> Financing Preliminary Project Statements", dated December 21, 1981, copies <br /> of which are on file in the office of the Clerk of the Council. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Board of Supervisors of the <br />County of Orange is hereby requested to find that said work, in the manner <br />provided, is in the general interest of the County. <br /> <br /> ATT E ST: <br /> <br /> ?RK T,E COU,CIL <br />~-~APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 21st day of December, 1981, by the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: COUNCILMEN: Acosta, Bricken, Griset, Luxembourger, <br /> Markel, McGuigan, Serrato <br />NOES: COUNCILMEN: None <br /> <br />ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None ~ m <br /> ~J~a~or Gordon Bricken <br /> <br />E[mARD J.
