REL: adg <br />2/19/82 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82- 26 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF <br />OF POLICE TO APPLY FOR AND EXECUTE A <br />GRANT AWARD FOR THE COMMUNITY CRIME <br />RESISTANCE PROGRAM <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana desires to <br />undertake a certain project designated the "Community Crime <br />Resistance Program" to be funded in part from funds made <br />available through State General Funds FY 81/82 as authorized <br />by Chapter 578 of the 1978 Statutes for the California <br />Community Crime Resistance Program, administered by the <br />Office of Criminal Justice Planning (hereafter referred to <br />as OCJP). <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Chief of <br />Police of the City of Santa Ana is authorized, on its behalf <br />to submit an Application for Grant for Law Enforcement <br />Purposes to OCJP and is authorized to execute on behalf of <br />the City of Santa Ana the Grant Award for law enforcement <br />purposes including any extensions or amendments thereof. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees <br />to provide all matching funds required for said project <br />(including any extension or amendment thereof) under the <br />Community Crime Resistance Program and the rules and <br />regulations of OCJP and that cash will be appropriated as <br />required thereby. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received <br />hereunder shall not be used to supplement law enforcement <br />expenditures controlled by this body. <br /> <br />1982. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 8th day of March · <br /> <br />ATTEST <br /> <br />COUNC I .[d~l Ebl B ~.R S <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />Council <br /> <br />Bricken Ay~ <br />Luxembourger Aye <br />Acosta Aye <br />Serrato Aye <br />Gr i se t Ave <br />Ma rk e 1 Ave <br />McGuigan Absent <br /> <br />Approved as to Form: <br /> <br />~w'ard 7. ~o~o e~ City Attorney <br /> <br /> <br />
